Prof. Salam Khan is, the founder director of Academy of Art & Design, himself a interior designer and a well known name in education field with experience of over 2 decades in interior design industry. He has done some of the prestigious interior projects in India and abroad. He is also a visiting lecturer with reputed college of Mumbai and Nat Mumbai A thought to establish an Institution that would serve mankind for hundreds of years crossed his mind during 1999 which sowed the seed for the beginning of Creative Educational & Charitable Trust. The Trust was established in 2001 with the intention of establishing institutions that of high standards.
Academy of Art & Design was the first Institution in Navi Mumbai that had shaped up from his vision to serve the needy with quality education. His intention was to eliminate unemployment to the maximum extent and thus introduce job-oriented courses. His emphasis was always on quality education. His Dynamic and intelligent leadership had lead to the phenomenal growth of the Academy.
He was on the jury of Designer Hunt India 2004 (the only open fashion design competition for all India Fashion Design Institutes) for selecting the best hands among the best fashion design students from whole of INDIA.
He has been invited as a jury member for Kohinoor School of Business, Mumbai’s – Annual Day & Fashion Show. He was honored with Builders Association of Navi Mumbai (BANM) plaque for exemplary work in Interior Architecture.
He has conducted workshop on Home Improvement in Navi Mumbai which had great success. He has been invited as an expert advisor by ETV Marathi for YUVABHARAT & Swapna Eka Gharache programs. He has been interviewed by IBN Lolcmat — Marathi, DNA Navi Mumbai, Times of India (Navi Mumbai) etc. Has been invited as Chief Guest for various schools and college fashion shows & annual functions.

She is also a visiting lecturer in reputed colleges and institutes in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai. She has instituted significant qualitative and quantitative improvements in such departments as interior and fashion, and the implementation of effective ideas that boosted productivity cut lead times, and dramatically enhanced student’s personality.
